Can I actually drive the cars, or just ride in them?

Starter and Signature are passenger experiences: Starter includes the Xiaomi SU7, and Signature includes the SU7 and YU7. For self-drive rentals, we help you choose a car and complete the rental booking, with driving-permit assistance if needed. You drive the rental car yourself. Self-drive pricing has two parts: a fixed $99 fee for driving-permit assistance, plus car rental from $100 per car per day, depending on your choice. Driving eligibility and vehicle availability must be confirmed before booking.

What should I prepare if I want to drive?

For a temporary Chinese driving permit, prepare your passport or other valid entry documents, your valid overseas driving license, and a Chinese translation if the license is not in Chinese. The application includes document checks and road-safety learning; the traffic police issue the permit. We provide driving-license translation, application document preparation, and in-person accompaniment for your permit application. Contact us with your dates and preferred car so we can confirm the provider's driving conditions. If you already hold a valid Chinese driving license or temporary driving permit, tell us so we can check what assistance you need.

What is included in the self-drive quote?

The fixed $99 service fee includes driving-license translation, application document preparation, and in-person accompaniment for your permit application. Car rental starts from $100 per car per day, depending on your choice. The official temporary driving-permit issuance fee is also included in our $99 service fee. You do not pay this government fee separately. Vehicle choice, rental dates, insurance terms, any deposit, and cancellation conditions are confirmed with your quote before payment. Permit approval remains with the issuing authority.

Which cars will I actually see? Can I swap one?

Starter includes the Xiaomi SU7 (one car) by default, and Signature includes the SU7 and YU7 (two cars). You can swap cars in either package from the six models in our lineup: Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi YU7, Zeekr 007, BYD Seal, NIO ET5, and Li Auto L6. Tell us your preferences when booking; we confirm availability and the exact cars for your date.

Question 5

Where do we meet, and how do we get between cars?

Accepted Answer

For Starter and Signature, we meet at a central Shanghai location. If your passenger experience needs transfers between cars, we arrange the stops into one smooth route and ride together. We confirm the meeting point when you book. For self-drive rentals, we help confirm the pickup and return arrangements with the rental provider. You drive the car yourself during the rental.

Do you offer this in Beijing or other cities?

Not yet — this experience is available in Shanghai only. The cars and our partners are all Shanghai-based. If your itinerary covers other cities, message us and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

How do I book and pay?

Message us on WhatsApp or WeChat with your preferred date and package. We confirm availability within a few hours and send a secure payment link. Starter and Signature offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before your experience. For self-drive enquiries, cancellation conditions and any non-refundable charges are confirmed with your quote before payment.
